What is Buddy Company?

Buddy Company is a one-stop shop for services around home. We offer on-demand and on-site services by connecting experts with people who need help with various tasks at home.

Can I still book a TechBuddy through the TechBuddy website?

TechBuddy, just like our other brands (TaskRunner, Tidy App), will operate as a separate division under its own brand within Buddy Company App. In Sweden, it will be available to book through Buddy Company App, while in Spain and Germany it will continue to operate autonomously.

Are your home services available in my region?

Our home services are currently available in most cities in Sweden. TechBuddy continues to operate autonomously in Spain and Germany as well.

COVID-19

How do you protect your customers and Buddies?

Due to Covid-19, we follow Folkhälsomyndighetens (Public Health Agency of Sweden) general advice and guidelines and have created precautionary measures to protect the health of our customers and Buddies.

Here you can read about the guidelines we have established for our Buddies to follow:

- Do not touch anyone
- Keep a safety distance of at least two meters
- Wear a mask during visits
- Use rubbing alcohol regularly, before and during the visit
- Wipe surfaces that we touched
- Use disposable gloves (when cleaning)
- We ensure that our Buddies do not show any symptoms before a home visit.

Cleaning

How does the service work?

With Buddy Company, you can quickly and easily book a variety of cleaning services. When you book, you need to specify where and when you need cleaning and how many square meters have to be covered. We support RUT deductions, which means that you only pay 50% of the cleaning cost.

What cities is the service available in?

Hotel Feeling at Home, office cleaning, and move-out cleaning are available in Stockholm. 

Home cleaning service is offered in:
- Stockholm and the surrounding area including Enköping, Nyköping, Sigtuna, Södertälje, Uppsala and Västerås.
- Gothenburg and the surrounding area including Borås, Trollhättan, Varberg and Vänersborg.
- Malmö and the surrounding area including Helsingborg, Landskrona, Lund and Trelleborg.

Do I need cleaning equipment at home?

Yes, our Buddies do not bring cleaning equipment.

For best results, we recommend that you have: a vacuum cleaner, a mop, a bucket, an all-purpose detergent, a toilet cleaner, a glass cleaner, some cleaning rags, sponges, dust cloths, as well as detergents and equipment necessary for possible additional services (e.g. window cleaning or oven cleaning).

What do I do with the keys?

Typically, our customers let in a Buddy and hand over a key which is then left in the letter box when the cleaning is completed. Indicate how you want to do it and if you have any special requests, put them in the notes section of your booking.

Can I be home during the service?

We are happy to provide you the service even if you work at home. Our Buddies take it into account and keep their distance during the service. If you have the opportunity, we recommend that you stay in another room or go for a walk while we perform the service. If you have the slightest cold symptoms, just get in touch with us at bokningar@buddycompany.com and we will help you rebook the service.

What happens if something breaks?

Accidents happen to everyone, and we are prepared for that. We have a company insurance with liability insurance that covers damage to your property. The insurance also covers personal injuries to our customers and Buddies. Contact us at bokningar@buddycompany.com if an accident occurs and we will make sure to take care of it.

How can I cancel the service?

Up to 48 hours before the start of the home cleaning time, you can easily cancel at no extra cost by entering your booking in the app. Late cancellations (24 to 12 hours before the service time) will be charged SEK 200. Cancellations within 12 hours of the start of the booking will be charged 80% of the booking cost.

What do I do if I am dissatisfied with the service?

If you are dissatisfied, contact us at bokningar@buddycompany.com and we will make sure to find out what went wrong. Customer satisfaction is our top priority and we always strive to get better and appreciate your feedback.

What is Buddy Company App?

Buddy Company App is a one-stop shop for on-demand home services, connecting qualified Buddies with customers who need help with a variety of challenges at home.

What services can I book?

With Buddy Company App, you can easily book services for your home, such as cleaning, handyman, gardening, moving, furniture assembly, tech support, and more. We are continuously working on adding more services.

How can I book a service?

Services can be booked conveniently through the app that can be downloaded to iOS or Android devices.

Is the app free?

Yes, the app is available in AppStore and Google Play Store free of charge.

Buddies

Who are the Buddies?

Buddy Company is based on the concept of the gig economy, which means that they themselves choose when, where and how much they will work. Our Buddies are paid for every task they complete. This means taxes and social security are covered for them every time they work on a task for us. Since we take care of their social fees, they are eligible for the same compensation programs from the government as full-time employees, adapted to the hours they have worked.

All our Buddies go through background-screening and have their competences tested during the rigorous recruiting process to ensure the high quality of services.

Are Buddies insured?

Yes, our insurance covers any accidents that may occur during assignments. This protects not just our Buddies, but also customers.

Prices

How much do the services cost?

The price depends on the type of service. Download our app to browse and check prices for our available services.

How do I pay for the service?

Currently, you can pay with credit card, Klarna, or PayPal. We are working on adding more payment options to make it as simple and convenient as possible to book a service of your choice.

What is a RUT deduction and how does it work?

ROT and RUT deduction is a direct deduction given to private individuals for certain types of services performed in the home. RUT covers tech support, cleaning, laundry, moving services, gardening, childminding and care services and reduce the cost of labour for these services by 50%. ROT deductions cover home repairs, conversions and extensions and reduce the cost of labour for these services by 30%.

The ROT deduction and the RUT deduction are added together and are a maximum of SEK 75,000 per person and year. Read more about RUT and ROT at www.skatteverket.se

How can I rebook my service date?

If your chosen time or date no longer fits, you are welcome to contact our customer service and we will rebook the assignment. Please note that you will be charged if the cancellation or rebooking takes place within 24 hours.
